Dividend Increase – MCD

ID-100130817-300x200 Dividend Increase – MCD

McDonald’s Corporation (MCD) just declared $1.01 quarterly dividend. This is an increase of 7.4% from $0.94.

I own 12 shares, so this will increase my annual dividend income by $3.36 to $4,194.86

I updated both my Passive Income page as well as my Portfolio page to reflect the changes.

My Thoughts:

I am very happy with this increase. I was actually expecting something like 5%. This is a very welcome news. The last dividend increase was 5.6% in 2016. The year before that it was only 5.1% increase. I wanted to add more shares when it was in the low $90, but I did not have money at the time. Too many great companies to buy and very little capital.

MCD has been doing great for me. I am up 62.80% and this is not including the dividends throughout the years. I expect MCD to continue to grow its dividend in the mid-single digit.

At this moment, MCD is overvalued and I would not be buying any shares at this time. I am currently collecting its dividend to purchase other stocks.

Are you loving MCD increase?

  1. Felix, getting closer to your goal divvy by divvy, divvy increase by divvy increase and divvies on top of divvies. Keep updating us. It’s great hearing your progress; and it affirms that what I’m doing (similar to you) is worthwhile and so empowering.
