Passive Income for February 2018

ID-100438362-300x300 Passive Income for February 2018Once a month I like to talk about my total passive income for the month. I do this to track how much is coming in. Once I get over $2,000 a month in passive income, I will be in a great place. $2,000 a month is my crossover point. At that point, that money will be enough to cover all my expenses.

Here we have my passive income for the month of February.

Taxable Account: $402.26

Retirement Account: $84.80

Rental: $700

Total: $1,187.06

I updated my Passive Income page for the month.

Passive Income Report

Yet again passing over the $1000 mark in passive income. Last month I was just under the $1k mark. However, I think I will be crossing that $1k mark going forward for a long time. God willing.

My taxable income had an amazing month. year over year it grew by 130%. That is not a typo. YOY my income for the month of February grew 130%. I am very excited about this increase. Like I mentioned in my 2018 financial goal post, I expect this kind of growth this year and possibly into next year. I am currently firing on all cylinders and I don’t foresee anything slowing me down. This will allow me to be to deploy a lot more money into my taxable account.

My Retirement account also saw an increase. However, the increase was significantly lower than my taxable account. The retirement account had a YOY increase of 17.75%. I am not putting any new capital in this account, so the YOY percentage should be very minimal increases going forward.

The rental income continues to be great here. My roommate is great and continues to pay on time and in full.

In all, I had a great month in passive income. I am over 50% towards my goal of $2000 a month in passive income. At that point, I would consider myself financially free.

  1. Hey,

I have been following your blog for a while. I see that you have CAH in your portofolio. With the recent dip in Price, what do you think about it in future ?

    • Hi Dhaval,

Thanks for reading my blog. I appreciate that you are following me on this voyage. CAH is currently overweight in my portfolio. I do plan to buy one more lot ($1200 worth of shares). CAH has a bright future. EPS are projected to increase for the fiscal year 2019 and even high for 2020. The dividend payout is low at around 34%. If I was not overweight, I would be backing up the truck with CAH.
