I added more shares to my portfolio with the purchase of AT&T Inc.

33 shares @ $35.82 on 10/13/2017.

This increases my forward 12-month dividend income by $64.69 to a total of $4,289.22

I also updated my portfolio page to reflect the change.

Check out the article that was published over at Seeking Alpha about AT&T.

When I first bought shares of AT&T on September 7, the stock jumped almost 8%. I was actually upset because I wanted to add more shares and thought that I would not get another opportunity. In just a matter of a few weeks, the stock price dropped about 8.5%. Not only did it drop about 8.5%, but the very next day was payday for me. You better bet that I was very excited to be in a position to add more shares.

If the share price stays under $36.00, I will be adding more. Make sure to check out the article to read about ATT fundamentals as well as its fair price analysis.

  1. Hi Felix :

    33 shares @ $35.82 on 10/13/2017.

You bought at a very low price !

This increases your forward 12-month dividend income by $64.69

    I have a question , please advise me :

The dividend income is 64.69 while the trade commission is $4.5

    Is it too expensive , 4.5/64.69 = 6.9% ?

    even 4.5/(33*35.82) = 0.38% , too expensive ?

    • Hi Paul,

Great question. It would be expensive if it was happing every year. However, this is a one time cost.

I use this one to calculate expenses: 4.5/(33*35.82) = 0.38%
